My husband and I met in high school and it was an instant connection, We were married just after graduation and he enlisted into the Marine Corps. My husband spent 8 years as an enlisted Marine prior to his conditional release to attend officer candidate school for the US Navy, He now is completing training to fly the H-60's. I have continued my passion to work with kids of all ages who have mental, and behavioral issues i am currently working at a local elementary school in a 6th grade behavioral class. My husband's career has allowed us so many incredible experiences and lifetime of friendships. We have three incredible daughters, who get the life experiences that only military kids have. We are forever grateful for the lifestyle that the military has provided us.

Amanda has shown incredible compassion and been such a driving force for the military community. I met her early into her journey as a military spouse, and she never let her young age stop her from making a difference. She took pride in making a positive impact on every marine and sailor that crossed her path. She opened her door to myself, and so many others any chance she could during every holiday anyone who wanted somewhere to go was welcome. She wouldn’t expect anything from us in return. She fed us entertained us and loved on us. She made a long lasting impact on my journey as a military spouse, and one of the most monumental people in my life. I am blessed to have crossed paths with such a wonderful caring person. She encompasses everything a military spouse should be. Anyone who has met her or even crossed paths with her, will know that she has a heart of gold, and always puts others first. She is everything a military spouse of the year should be, I am grateful for her impact!
